Life on the Lower Shore is slow paced (commonly
referred to as "laid back.") Most of the residents
live in small towns or rural areas.
The largest towns on the Lower Shore are
Cambridge, Salisbury, Ocean City and Pocomoke City. However the Lower
Shore of Maryland abounds with small, historic hamlets that
reflect the culture and history of the area.
