Mr. Deon Viergutz

Deon Viergutz is a former Vice President at Lockheed Martin, where he led a $1B portfolio spanning electronic warfare, cybersecurity, intelligence systems, and information operations in support of U.S. and allied defense missions. With more than 30 years of experience in the defense and government technology sectors, he brings deep expertise in cybersecurity, information warfare, national security, and complex program execution within highly regulated environments. During his tenure, Mr. Viergutz led a workforce of 1,500 employees and was responsible for advancing capabilities across the electromagnetic spectrum, integrating offensive and defensive cyber solutions with intelligence and mission systems. Previously, he served as Vice President of Cyber Solutions, where he drove significant growth through innovation and delivery of full-spectrum cyber technologies to global government customers. Mr. Viergutz offers boards valuable perspective on business growth strategy, enterprise risk, cybersecurity and information operations strategy, government contracting, and large-scale operations. He has extensive governance experience, having served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of AFCEA International and as President of the Fort Meade Alliance. In 2013 he led the effort to create the Fort Meade Alliance Foundation serving as the President through 2024, where he continues to serve as a board member. He began his career supporting the Air Force Satellite Control Network and previously served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Viergutz holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of La Verne and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
