Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA): OREMS
The Office of Real Estate (ORE) is responsible for acquiring and disposing of land related to Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) projects. It also provides services to other real estate matters within the state of Maryland. If SHA wants to build a new road or modify an existing road, ORE is involved in procuring the land it needs to build the new road on. Likewise, ORE disposes acquired land if no longer needed for projects. Office of real estate management system (OREMS) is a web-based workflow application that allows SHA employees to manage the procurement and disposal of real estates.
