Col. (Ret.) Trent Upton is a seasoned strategic leader, retired U.S. Army Colonel, and the Chief Growth Officer for Pn Automation, Inc. With a distinguished military and public service career spanning complex tactical operations, national security, and enterprise leadership, Mr. Upton brings exceptional operational discipline and strategic vision to his executive role at Pn Automation.

Mr. Upton plays a vital role in leading innovative technology adoption, integration, and leading customer empowerment efforts across the federal and defense sectors. Drawing directly on his extensive Army operational expertise—including large-scale mission planning, resource synchronization, and command decision-making—he translates complex operational requirements into tailored technology strategies. This deep domain experience allows Pn Automation to deliver high-value, combat-ready IT solutions, including AI/ML automation, secure edge infrastructure, and cloud integration, that directly align with the mission-critical needs of defense and government stakeholders.

Prior to joining Pn Automation, Mr. Upton served with distinction as a U.S. Army Colonel, holding key leadership assignments including commanding the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, and serving at Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) at the Pentagon. His military career also includes completing the Senior Service College through the US Army War College, focusing on national security, strategic planning, and interagency operations.
